By 1920's the Bermagui bridge was in poor and dangerous condition so a second wooden bridge was constructed beside the original bridge. The southern end of both these bridges was approx at the present boat ramp. The third and current concrete bridge was officially opened 16th December, 1981 at a cost of $900,000.
