This is one of my favourite beaches in Bermagui. I have many memories of time spent here with Jamison my angel dog and also now with Archie and George. I have made great friends here (through our dogs meeting of course) and love seeing the many faces of this rugged coastline throughout the year.Named after Bermagui citizen Percival Beare (1883-1968), who owned property bounded by Murrah and Bunga Streets, Dickinson Ave and Scenic Drive. As his property encompassed the main surf beach, in 1938 he gave surfers permission to access the beach through his private property. Hence the name ‘Beares Beach’.
