‘I love these old wooden bridges. They are single lane crossing, which means you must slow down and ensure there are no oncoming cars before you cross. Mostly, the traffic approaching from the north has right of way. There’s an old world courtsey as you give a friendly wave or nod to the cars as they leave the bridge and drive past you. I love that in this fast paced world you are forced to slow down and sometimes stop, giving you the opportunity to take a moment and look at the beauty that surrounds you. These iconic bridges are a piece of history nestled in a pristine part of the far south coast of NSW. Crossing them is the soundtrack of many memories for those who holiday here and those fortunate enough to call it home.’
