'This piece is the second Octopus I have painted. The first, titled 'Dancing in the Dark' was created in the aftermath of Mum's passing. Painting enables me to see myself and outpour emotion when no words can be found. I find solace in the detail and it takes me to a place where time has no relevance - much like grief. 'Dancing in the Light' is a transitional piece - created in a space where I am at peace with the plans of the universe. Every Day I work at seeing the bigger picture.'
